I worked with Andries on Alcoa's expansion projects in Brazil, where he was responsible for build responsive business process support infrastructure and system integration between Alcoa and Hatch. Andries was a very focused and organized professional, always brings creative and applicable solutions. Andries has a great interpersonal relationship with stakeholders in Brazil and together we performed a consistent job streamlining the processes and achieving the goals. It has been such a pleasure to meet and to work with him.

I have worked with Andries at the BC Section of AACEI where he held the role of secretary in our local directorship. Andries was an good team member and brought excellent ideas to the table. We were fortunate to have Andries provide two technical presentation to the BC Section. These presentations were very professional and thought provoking. I was fortunate to work with Andries as part of the management team in the Hatch Vancouver office. Under his mentorship I enhanced the leadership skills needed to manage the quality requirements and resources. Andries is always about the team; challenging existing processes with new ideas and working collaboratively to provide the best possible outcomes. With his depth of academic education and breadth of career experience, he demonstrates skill and knowledge in every aspect of business operations. He has the rare ability to communicate highly complex ideas simply; his accomplishment as an author is a testament. Those who have worked with Andries know that he doesn’t take himself very seriously despite his many accomplishments! His extraordinary commitment to people and his teams is surpassed only by his enthusiasm for creativity, “being different” and encouraging others to overcome obstacles.
